GAME 1 | Lindenwood (MO) 8, North Dakota 0
ST. CHARLES, Mo. --Senior Amanda Weyh was dealing on Tuesday, tossing a four-hit shutout to lead the Lindenwood Lions past the North Dakota Fighting Hawks 8-0.
Weyh (3-2) went the distance for Lindenwood (5-10), giving up four hits, walking one and striking out five.
At the plate, the Lions were paced by junior Chloe Honchar, who went 2-for-3 on the day with a double and three RBI. Sophomore Mya Bethany put together a standout performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-3 with a walk and two RBI. Freshman Tori Hatton also chipped in for Lindenwood, putting together two hits in three trips to the plate while adding a walk and an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions took the lead for good in the first, scoring for the first time in the inning. Lindenwood offense started clicking and put up four runs, including a three-run double off the bat of Honchar.
The Lions also added runs in the fourth and sixth innings on the way to the 8-0 victory.

An explosive offensive output was not enough for Lindenwood on Tuesday in Game two. The Lions put up five runs, but could not hold the North Dakota Fighting Hawks at bay, and were defeated 7-5.
Senior Keighlan Cronin (1-4) took the loss in the circle for Lindenwood (5-11).
Senior Morgan Gersch led the way offensively for the Lions, going 1-for-3 in the ballgame with a home run and two RBI. Junior Whitney Kinser put together a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Junior Chloe Honchar also chipped in, going 2-for-3 for Lindenwood (MO) with an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 4-0, the Lions first put runs on the board in the fourth inning. Lindenwood (MO) plated two runs off of North Dakota pitching, one of which was driven in on a run-scoring double off the bat of Kinser.
The Fighting Hawks expanded their lead to 5-2 before the Lions offense got back to work, cutting into that lead in the fifth. Freshman Ally McArdle came across to score the lone run of the inning for Lindenwood (MO), which brought the score to 5-3 in favor of the Fighting Hawks.
Lindenwood (MO) held the Fighting Hawks off the scoreboard before rallying to tie it up at five in the sixth. The Lions added two to their tally on Gersch's two-run homer to center. North Dakota then scored two times over the remaining one inning to break the tie and grab the 7-5 win.
