GAME 1 | Southern Indiana 8, Lindenwood 0
EVANSVILLE, Ind. --The Lindenwood Lions were not able to score a run against Southern Indiana pitcher sophomore J. Newman on Sunday and were shut out 8-0 by the Screaming Eagles.
Senior Amanda Weyh (3-4) started and took the loss in the circle for Lindenwood (6-15, 0-4 OVC).
Sophomore Mya Bethany led the way offensively for the Lions, going 1-for-2 in the ballgame with a walk.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lindenwood managed one chance with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-5 with runners in scoring position. The Lions last got a runner on third in the sixth, when Bethany made it 60 feet away from scoring with one out.

GAME 2 | Southern Indiana 7, Lindenwood 4
EVANSVILLE, Ind. --Though they had plenty of opportunities, Lindenwood (MO) struggled to cash them in, leaving 12 Lions on base in a 7-4 defeat at the hands of the Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles on Sunday.
Freshman Avery Wapp (0-4) got the ball to start for Lindenwood (MO) (6-16, 0-5) and took the loss.
Freshman Dallis Darnell led the way offensively for the Lions, going 1-for-2 in the ballgame with two walks and an RBI. Sophomore Irelynn West furnished a standout day at the dish as well, going 1-for-4 with a double and a walk. Freshman Jolie McMinn also chipped in, going 1-for-3 for Lindenwood (MO) with a walk and an RBI.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions put runs on the scoreboard first, starting the scoring in the second inning. Junior Theresa Snaidauf came across to score the lone run of the inning for Lindenwood and get them on the board.
The Lions lost the lead they built in the second, but got back on the board in the fourth trailing 5-1. Lindenwood scored once on an RBI single off the bat of senior Morgan Gersch, which tightened the Screaming Eagles lead to 5-2.
Lindenwood held the Screaming Eagles off the scoreboard before narrowing the gap to 5-4 in the fifth. Sophomore Mya Bethany and freshman Tori Hatton came in to score the two Lions runs in the frame. The Lions were unable to get any closer, as Southern Indiana added two runs to their tally on the way to a 7-4 final.
