Nolan Makes 20 Saves in a Loss to Utah

On Wednesday, the Lindenwood men's lacrosse team traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, to take on the University of Utah Utes. The Lions would fall to the Utes 22-8.

Overview
Starting off the first quarter, the Lions would tally first, being the only score for them coming from Ryan Kemp. Utah would rebound scoring five of their own to end the first quarter, leading 5-1. Starting off the second frame, the Lions would rally off two before Utah would go on scoring six in a row. The Lions would have the last answer of the half to cut Utah's lead to seven with Utah leading 11-4 going into the second half. Scorers for the Lions in the second frame included Kemp, Flint Thielen, and Wesley Scurci.

In the third quarter, scoring was stifled with a combined four goals being scored. Utah scored the first three goals of the frame, and the Lions would score later in the quarter coming from a Scurci tally. Utah would lead 14-5 going into the fourth. In the fourth, Utah would tally eight times and the Lions would tally three times.

Blake Nolan would start in net for the Lions making 20 saves.
