COLUMBIA, Mo. --The Lindenwood Lions were not able to score a run against Missouri pitcher freshman Harrison on Wednesday and were shut out 9-0 by the Tigers.
Senior Keighlan Cronin (3-7) got the ball to start for Lindenwood (13-21) and took the loss.
Freshman Tori Hatton led the way offensively for the Lions, going 1-for-2 in the ballgame with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lindenwood did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Lions went 0-for-1 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the fourth, when Hatton made it into scoring position with two outs.
GAME NOTES
» Lindenwood pitchers faced 23 Missouri hitters in the game, allowing one ground balls and eight fly balls while striking out two.
» Hatton led the Lions at the plate, going 1-for-2 with a double.
» Missouri was led offensively by junior Honnold, who went 2-for-3 with two triples and an RBI.
» Harrison led the Tigers pitching staff, throwing five scoreless innings.
