The Lindenwood beach volleyball team (8-8, 2-4 OVC) downed Eastern Illinois (2-6, 1-5 OVC) 3-2 on Sunday afternoon in Chesterfield, Mo.

"We embraced the wind and cold today and I'm extremely pleased with our fight" said head coach Alli Duckworth. "It was our first home event in program history, and I think it was very fitting that we beat a really tough opponent. We had a great showing of fans and the support really helped push us in the end!"
