On Thursday night, the Lindenwood women's lacrosse team (8-7) traveled to Dover, Del., to take on Delaware State. The Lions would cruise to 17-6 victory over the Hornets.

Overview
The Lions would start the scoring off in this matchup, taking an early 2-0 lead with goals from
Logann Eldredge and
Lindsey Smith. The Hornets would cut the lead down to one at 6:59 mark in the first. The Lions would have two more tallies coming from Eldredge and
Clara Gallapoo to end the frame. The Hornets would score once more to close the deficit to 4-2.
Meredith Parry would start off the scoring for the Lions in the second quarter. The Hornets would strike back with a goal minutes later. The Lions would score three more times to end the period while the Hornets would score once more with the Lions leading 8-4 going in to the second half.

In the third quarter, the Lions would score five unanswered goals, leading the Hornets scoreless. The Lions would lead 13-4 going into the final frame. Scorers in the third frame for the Lions included

Isabella Rulapaugh. In the fourth quarter, the Hornets would break their scoreless streak scoring twice while the Lions would score four times to seal the victory.
