The Lindenwood beach volleyball team (8-13) fell in their first match of the OVC Championships 3-1 to Tennessee Tech on Thursday afternoon from Martin, Tenn.

The Lions lone win came from the No. 5 pair as McKenna Androsky and Rebecca Janke had a comeback win after dropping the first set. A few other matches were tightly contested, and the No. 1 match went unfinished as the Lions fell short in the tournament opener.

Nyah Wilson and Elise Llorens lost to Aleeya Jones and Bella Powell 13-21, 16-21
Amber Schade and Myah Hough lost to Brooke Amann and Madolyn Isringhausen 15-21, 13-21
Bailey Dugan and Rachel Mitts lost to Morgan Gish and McKenna Young 28-30, 16-21
McKenna Androsky and Rebecca Janke def. Katie DiRaimondo and Jazmine Yamikoski 18-21, 21-15, 15-9
