EUGENE, OR --The Lindenwood Lions were not able to record a run against Oregon pitcher senior Morgan Scott on Thursday and were shut out 8-0 by the No. 18 Ducks.
Senior Amanda Weyh (5-7) got the ball to start for Lindenwood (13-19) and took the loss.
At the plate, the Lions were led by junior Emma Daniels, who went 1-for-1 on the day with a double.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lindenwood did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Lions went 0-for-1 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the sixth, when Daniels made it into scoring position with two outs.
GAME NOTES
» Lindenwood pitchers faced 31 Oregon hitters in the game, allowing three ground balls and 12 fly balls while striking out one.
» Daniels led the Lions at the plate, going 1-for-1 with a double.
» Oregon was led offensively by senior Allee Bunker, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI.
» Scott led the Ducks pitching staff, throwing six scoreless innings.
