EUGENE, OR --Sophomore Stevie Hansen and junior Raegan Breedlove combined to toss a shutout on Friday as the No. 18 Oregon Ducks blanked the Lindenwood Lions 16-0.
Freshman Avery Wapp (4-5) started and took the loss in the circle for Lindenwood (13-20).
At the plate, the Lions were paced by junior Theresa Snaidauf, who went 1-for-3 on the day.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Lindenwood managed zero chances with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 1-for-4 with runners in scoring position. The Lions last got a runner on third in the fifth, when sophomore Irelynn West made it 60 feet away from scoring with two outs.
GAME NOTES
» Lindenwood pitchers faced 32 Oregon hitters in the game, allowing four ground balls and five fly balls while striking out two.
» Snaidauf led the Lions at the plate, going 1-for-3.
» Oregon was led offensively by senior Allee Bunker, who went 1-for-1 with a home run and three RBI.
» Hansen led the Ducks pitching staff, throwing three shutout innings.
