Sanders Notches Five Hits in Baseball's Loss on Tuesday

MACOMB, Ill --Senior Greg Sanders collected five hits, but the Lindenwood baseball team (9-36) fell to the Western Illinois Leathernecks (6-32) 17-10 on Tuesday.

In addition to his five hits, Sanders had a double and two RBI to lead the Lions. Sophomore Dawson Hokuf put together a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 2-for-4 with a home run, a walk and three RBI. Junior Bradley Chesterton also helped out for Lindenwood, putting together three hits in five trips to the plate while adding a double and two RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions lost despite scoring in six different innings in the ballgame, last holding the lead in the second inning at 5-4. Lindenwood's biggest output came in its four-run first inning.
