Field Hockey Falls 6-1 to Davidson

On Sunday morning, the Lindenwood field hockey team (1-4) faced off against Davidson. The Lions fell 6-1 to the Wildcats.

MATCH OVERVIEW
The Wildcats would start out hot in the first period, scoring three goals in the first seven minutes of the game. Strong defense kept the Lions off the board. The Wildcats would lead 3-0 going into the second frame. In the second frame, scoring slowed down. The Wildcats would score in the 25th minute of the match to lead 4-0. The Lions would remain scoreless in this period. The Lions would go into halftime down 4-0.

In the third period, both teams would remain scoreless for the first 10 minutes of the period. The Wildcats would rattle off two goals late in third to go up 6-0. In the fourth period, the Lions would find the back of the net from a Orla Folan shot in the 54th minute of the game.

Kyla Cooke started in net for the Lions, making three saves and giving up three goals. Leah Brozovich would come into relieve Cooke, making six saves on three goals against.
