Game Recap: Men's Hockey | | Men's Ice Hockey

Men’s Ice Hockey Falls 6-1 to #11 Western Michigan

In their second match up, the score ended 6-1 in favor of the #11 Western Michigan Broncos.

Head Coach Rick Zombo stated, "The better team got the results today. The team that deserved to win, won."

Western Michigan scored twice in the first to take a 2-0 advantage into the second period. Lindenwood was able to score at the 8:03 mark of the second period, when Adam Conquest scored on a beautiful pass from Aiden Yakimchuk. The Broncos scored two additional goals in the second.

Entering the final period of play, the score was 4-1 in favor of Western Michigan. During the final period, the Broncos scored two more goals to secure the win, 6-1.

Trent Burnham guarded the net for the Lions for all 60 minutes, recorded 35 saves while allowing six goals.

Lindenwood will travel to Madison, Wisconsin, to face #6 University of Wisconsin on January 12th and 13th. Both games are slated for 7:00 pm.
