Last week, the Lions rallied from down 17-0 at halftime to defeat Eastern Illinois on the road, 28-25.
Nate Glantz and
Jeff Caldwell connected on four touchdowns in the second half. Caldwell has now hauled in seven touchdowns over the last three games and its the second-consecutive game with at least four touchdowns for Glantz.

The last time Lindenwood was down by at least 17 points in which it came back to win was last season at Western Illinois, Caldwell also had four touchdown grabs in that contest in what ended as a 43-40 victory for the Black and Gold.

For his efforts, Caldwell was named the Big South-OVC Association Offensive Player of the Week after finishing the day with four catches for 115 yards and those four scores. So far this season, the 6-5 wideout ranks in the top 10 in five offensive categories among all FCS receivers. He is tied for first in receiving touchdowns, while ranking second in receiving yards (508), sixth in receiving yards per game (101.6) and is tied for 10th in yards per catch (22.1)

Cortezz Jones continued his solid play out of the backfield on Saturday, going for his second-straight 100-yard game after posting 104 yards on 20 carries. He also caught one pass for 19 yards. So far this season, Jones is averaging 7 yards per carry, which ranks third in the Big South-OVC.

Defensively, the Lions held the Panthers to just 195 yards in the second half and were led by
Vincent King who had a team-high 10 stops. King ranks second in the Association in tackles so far this season with 45.

Tennessee State enters the matchup with a 3-2 record and are coning off a 13-9 win over Charleston Southern last week.

- The Lions are coming off a thrilling 28-25 victory last week over Eastern Illinois. After trailing 17-0 at halftime, Lindenwood stormed back behind Nate Glantz and Jeff Caldwell to earn the win.
- The game came down to a last second field goal attempt from the Panthers that was wide right. Teams are now 1-for-6 on field goals against the Lions this season.
- All four of Caldwell's touchdown catches came in the second half. This is his second-career game with at least four scores. The other was last season on the road at Western Illinois. The Lions also trailed by 17 in that game and came back to win.
- Lindenwood held the Panthers to just 195 yards in the second half and the defense was led by Vincent King who had 10 tackles. King has 45 stops on the year so far, second most in the Big South-OVC.
- This will be the second meeting between Lindenwood and Tennessee State. The Tigers picked up a 43-20 victory in Nashville last season. Caldwell had a 65-yard touchdown reception in that game.
- The Tigers enter the matchup with a 3-2 record and are coming off a 13-9 win at home against Charleston Southern a week ago.
- Tennessee State has yet to win a road game this season as they are 0-2 so far in 2024 in such games.
