Lindenwood Athletics has announced game themes for the 2026 home football schedule.

The Lions are slated for five home games inside Steward Field at Hunter Stadium this upcoming season including four OVC games and a non-conference matchup on homecoming.

The home and season opener is set for Thursday, August 27 against Charleston Southern at 6:00 p.m. Fans are encouraged to wear black for a game under the lights. There will also be postgame fireworks.

A few weeks later, Lindenwood hosts Southeast Missouri State for the fourth-annual Game Ball Brawl at 1:00 p.m. The Black and Gold have won each of the last two meetings against the Redhawks. Fans will also be encouraged to wear Gold.

Homecoming is slated for October 24 against Chicago State at 2:00 p.m. The 2026 Hall of Fame Class will also be recognized. The following week is Halloween as fans are encouraged to wear costumes. It will also be community day.

The final home game of the season will be Nov. 21 against Western Illinois at 2:00 p.m. Lindenwood will honor its seniors on Senior Day prior to the contest and it will also be the Military Appreciation game with recognitions and appreciations for military members, first responders and more.
