ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Lindenwood men's basketball picked up a win during their lone exhibition game on Tuesday after defeating Hannibal-LaGrange by a final score of 81-45. The Lions outscored the Trojans 47-14 in the second half to cruise to a 36-point victory.
Anias Futrell led the way for Lindenwood scoring 15 points on 5-8 shooting including two three points.
Jaylon McDaniel and
Markeith Browning II were right behind him with 14 points each. Lindenwood shot 30-36 (47.6%) from the field while holding the Trojans to a 30.9% performance.
Browning II was active on the boards collecting a team-high seven rebounds. He also added three assists and three steals.
Jadis Jones, Futrell and
Colin Ruffin also grabbed five rebounds each. LU out-rebounded Hannibal-LaGrange 41-29.
After holding just a three-point leading coming out of halftime, Lindenwood exploded for 47 points in the second half while shooting 60.0% from the field. The Lions defense added 13 steals to go along with 27 points off turnovers. LU also had 42 points in the paint.
Hannibal-LaGrange was led by Josh Talton with 12 points and Kell Estep with 10. The Trojans were held to just 4-23 (17.4%) from the field on Tuesday in the second half.
