UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. – On Saturday, women's ice hockey (2-10-1, 1-2-0 AHA) took on Penn State (10-3-0, 3-0-0 AHA) for the second time this weekend. In Game Two versus the Nittany Lions, Lindenwood would be defeated by a score of 7-1, with Lindenwood moving to 2-11-1 on the campaign, and 1-3-0 in AHA play.
GAME OVERVIEW
In period one, Penn State would score the only goal of the period at 15:43, resulting in Lindenwood trailing 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. Lindenwood would have four shots on net in the period.
Anna LaRose would make 15 saves in the first frame of play.
In the second period, Penn State would start the scoring in the period at 5:12. Two minutes later,
Gigi Pora would tip a shot into the back of the net, to net the Lions first and only goal of the game, while on the power-play. Pora's goal would be assisted by
Morgan Neitzke and
Josey Dunne. Penn State would finish out the period scoring three unanswered, resulting in the Lions trailing 5-1 going into the final period of play. The Lions would have four shots on net in the frame. LaRose and

In the third period, Penn State would score two goals in the period, extending their lead six. In the final period of play, Lindenwood had ten shots on net, for a total of 18 on the afternoon. Bowtell would make ten saves in the period. In the game, Lindenwood stopped 38 shots.
