The Big South-OVC Association released its All-Conference Awards on Tuesday, which featured six Lindenwood football student-athletes.
Steve Hall was tabbed the Associations Offensive Freshman of the Year.
Hall also landed on the first team along with
Jeff Caldwell,
Vincent King, and
Gareth Warren.
Cameron Cooper and
Logan Seibert were second-team selections. The Lions had four first-team selections for the first time since 2022, their first in FCS.
Hall rushed for 808 yards and five touchdowns on 111 carries, good for 7.3 yards per carry. He also caught 14 passes for 83 yards during the 2024 season. The St. Louis, Mo. native was tabbed Big South-OVC Freshman of the Week four times during the year and earned FCS National Freshman of the Week once after rushing for 259 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Western Illinois. The 259 yards were 13 shy of the program single-game rushing record.
Caldwell had an outstanding junior campaign, hauling in 53 receptions for 1032 yards and 11 touchdowns, The 11 touchdowns ranked eighth-most in the country. The Louisville, Ky. native compiled seven games with 99 receiving yards or more during the 2024 season.
The junior wideout was tabbed Big South-OVC Offensive Player of the Week one time this season after totaling four catches, all for touchdowns, and 115 yards in a win against Eastern Illinois on September 28.
Caldwell made some big plays during the year and averaged 19.5 yards per catch, ranking second in the Big South-OVC. He had three touchdown grabs of 70 or more yards, including a 93-yard touchdown catch in a win against St. Thomas. That grab set the program record for longest offensive play. For his career, Caldwell has found the end zone 23 times, ranking fourth in program history.
King made an instant impact on the defense after coming over from Northern Colorado. The Denver, Colo. native made 106 stops, which led the team and ranked second in the Big South-OVC. King made 10 or more tackles in six games, including a season-high 17 against Missouri State, which culminated in a Defensive Player of the Week honor. 64 of those stops were solo tackles, the sixth-most in FCS.
The senior linebacker found himself in the backfield quite often, leading the team in tackles for loss (9.5) and quarterback hurries (8).
Warren and Cooper started all 12 games on the offensive line at left tackle and right guard respectively. Warren has been a mainstay on the line since he joined the black and gold. He earned recognition from the Shrine Bowl and Reese's Senior bowl prior to the 2024 season. Cooper joined the Lions from Colorado State before the year and bolstered the offensive line this season, which was a big help to a running game that led the Big South-OVC with 173.7 yards per game.Â
Seibert was one of the best kickers in FCS this season, knocking in 16 field goals this season. The Belleville, Ill. native converted on an 84.2 percent clip, which ranks top 15 nationally. Seibert made a program record five field goals in a game earlier this season, which resulted in Specialist of the Week recognition. He has made a program record 44 field goals in his career and sits fourth on the all-time scoring list with 285 points.
Lindenwood finished the 2024 season with a 5-7 record, including a 4-4 mark inside Big South-OVC Play. The Lions picked up four wins inside Hunter Stadium during the year.
