ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Lindenwood gymnastics (8-5) finished in fourth place on Friday evening at the Gym Quarters meet "Mizzou at the Lou" hosted at Family Arena in St. Charles, Mo. Lindenwood went up against some of the premier squads in the country including No. 6 Florida, No. 14 Missouri and Illinois. The Lions finished with a team score of 194.825.
"Tonight was an amazing opportunity to compete on a big stage in our own city," said head coach Catelyn Branson. "The team looked great up against some of the best in the country. Proud of our performance overall and excited to continue to get better for the back half of the season."

INSIDE THE SCORES
- Lindenwood had two all-around performers on Friday night with Nya Kraus and Jaly Jones. Kraus finished with an all-around score of 39.075 ranking sixth while Jaly Jones finished with a 39.025. This marked Kraus' season high during her all-around score, and she also finished with the top score for any Lindenwood Lion on Friday with a 9.900 on beam. Jones also tied for the high score on the Lions' squad with a 9.850 on floor.
- Graduate student Gayla Griswold competed in three events on Friday picking up a score of 9.850 on floor, 9.650 on vault and 9.00 on beam. Her score of 9.850 was tied for 14th overall during the meet.
- Trinity Caffey has continued her strong performances over the last couple of weeks posting the highest score on the team at Family Arena on vault. Her 9.825 score is her third best score this season after she posted a career high last weekend vs. Illinois State.
- Hannah Appleget and Savannah Newsome were poised on bars posting the two highest scores on the Lindenwood squad. Appleget finished with a score of 9.850, tied for her second best score of the season. She also finished with a 9.825 on beam which was second behind Kraus. Newsome also finished with her second highest score of the season after posting a 9.825.
- Reese Baechle competed against her former school for the second time this season. Baechle finished with scores of 9.775 on vault and 9.725 on floor.
- Lindenwood's highest team score was on their floor routine which was a 48.925. They also scored the following on Friday: 48.800 on vault, 48.750Â on bars and 48.350 on beam.
