In the second game of their two-game series, the Lindenwood Lions fell 5-1 to the #17 Arizona State Sun Devils.

Rick Zombo stated, "I thought we played well, however it's tough to run down an early deficit."
Arizona State scored twice in the first and second period, taking a 4-0 advantage into the final period of play. In the third, the Sun Devils scored first, marking their final goal of the contest. The Lions continued to play hard, resulting in a goal by
Jake Southgate at 16:59.
Jaeden Mercier and
Caige Sterzer were credited with the assist.
Trent Burnham and
Matthew Syverson each had a turn between the pipes for Lindenwood. Burnham recorded 10 saves, while Syverson tallied 14.
The Lions will travel to North Easton, Mass., to face Stonehill College for their second series of season. The games are scheduled for February 9
th and 10
th at 6:00 pm CT and 4:00 pm CT. In their last meeting on January 26
th and 27
th, LU won 7-1 and 6-5 in overtime.
