Women’s Ice Hockey Blanked by Mercyhurst

ERIE, PA. – On Friday, the Lindenwood women's ice hockey team took on Mercyhurst. The Lions would be held scoreless in this affair, falling to the Lakers, 3-0.

GAME OVERVIEW
In a low scoring affair, scoring did not come easy in this matchup. For the first 12:28 of the first period, both teams were held scoreless, brought out by strong defensive play. At the 12:29 mark in the frame, the Lakers would score the first goal of the game. Almost three minutes later, the Lakers would find the back of the net for the second time of the game. Natalie Ferenc would make 13 saves in the period. The Lions in the first period had five shots on net.

In the second period, both teams were held scoreless. Ferenc would make 11 saves in the period, while the Lions on the offensive side of the puck had six shots on net.

In the third period, the Lakers would find the back of the net in the first 3:38 in the frame, to go up 3-0. Ferenc in the final period would make 12 saves, and the Lions would have one shot on net.
