ST. CHARLES, MO – On Sunday, the Lindenwood women's lacrosse team took on Detroit Mercy. The Lions would win 22-12 over the Titans in a strong offensive affair.
GAME OVERVIEW
In the first quarter, the Titans were able to find the back of the net first, at 13:03. The Titans would score another at 11:28, extending their lead to two. Lindenwood would bounce back going on a three goal run with the final of the goal of the run, coming at 5:47. At 4:37, the Titans would tie the game up at 3-3. At 4:00,
Isabella Rulapaugh would regain the Lions one-goal lead. With 3:38, left in the frame, the Titans would tie the game up once again. Lindenwood would score the last two goals in the frame, to lead 6-4 going into the second quarter. Goal scorers for the Lions in the first frame included

Sara Grieco.
In the second quarter, Lindenwood dominated on the offensive side of the ball netting eight consecutive goals. The Titans would find their first goal of the frame at 1:39 left. Going into halftime, the Lions led 14-4. Goal scorers for the Lions included Mowbray, Digiacinto, Rulapaugh,
Kiley Davis (3),
Meredith Parry, and
Natalie Gane.
In the third frame, the Titans would start off the period scoring the first two goals at 13:54 and 11:25. The Lions would bounce back with two of their own at 7:11 and 4:55, coming from Davis and Eldredge. The Titans would score the final two goals in the period. After three quarters of play, the Lions would lead 16-9.
In the fourth, Digiacinto would put the Lions on the board, at 14:45, extending Lindenwood's lead to eight. A minute later, the Titans would find the back of the for the first time in the period. The Lions and Titans would trade off the next two goals, coming at 12:12 and 8:46. At 8:21 left in the frame, Davis would score for the Lions which would eventually start a four-goal run for the Lions, with the final goal of the run, coming at 2:18. At this point, the Lions led 22-11. With two seconds left in the final frame, the Titans would find the back of the net, cutting their deficit with the Lions to ten. In the final quarter, scorers for the Lions included, Digiacinto (2), Rulapaugh, Davis, Grieco, and
Lauren Bailey who scored her first career goal in this matchup.
After this matchup, the Lions moved to 7-1 on the season.
