CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Lindenwood beach volleyball (8-5, 2-2 OVC) dropped their final two matches of the weekend in Chattanooga, Tenn. against UT Martin and the host school Chattanooga. The Lions begin Ohio Valley Conference with a 2-2 record.
"We learned what it's going to take if we want to be at the top of the OVC," said interim head coach Tyler Fenton. "All of our pairs found different success and we are looking forward to getting home and hitting the sand."
MATCH ONE
Lindenwood - 1
UT Martin - 4
Lindenwood's win streak ended on Saturday morning as the Lions fell to the Skyhawks of UT Martin by a final score of 4-1 in Chattanooga, Tenn. It marked the first conference loss for the Lions this season.

Maider Soto and
Nyah Wilson were the lone Lions to win at their respective pairs at the number one spot against UTM's Olivia O'Keefe and Jenna Vallee. Lindenwood's duo went the distance in three sets winning 18-21, 24-22 and 15-11.

Katie Malzahn and
Abby Jacobs fell for the first time as a duo at the number two pairing losing 21-17 in both sets.
Annalie McWhorter and
Taylor Gentemann also lost in two sets at the number three pair with scores of 21-11 and 21-16.

Jessie Seidel and
Kailee McGee also lost against UT Martin at the four pair with scores of 21-15 and 21-15. Lindenwood's final pair of
Elise Llorens and
Amber Schade also fell at the five spot in three sets with scores of 21-19, 17-21 and 15-8.

Chattanooga - 5
Lindenwood fell again on Saturday after losing 0-5 against the host school Chattanooga. It marked only the third times the Lions were swept this season.
Soto and Wilson battled in the number one pairing before falling in a close two sets with scores of 21-17 and 24-22. Malzahn and Jacobs also fell against UTC in three sets by scores of 23-21, 19-21 and 15-9.
The Lions' third pair of Gentemann and McWhorter also lost by scores of 21-16 and 21-13. Lindenwood four (
Jessie Seidel/
Kailee McGee) and five (
Amber Schade/
Elise Llorens) also fell against the Mocs of Chattanooga.
