The Lindenwood baseball team (11-22, 4-6 OVC) fell in the series opener to Tennessee Tech (21-13, 7-3 OVC) by a score of 4-0 from Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Mo.
GAME OVERVIEW
The Golden Eagles plated one in the first, but Lindenwood escaped a bases loaded jam to keep it at a 1-0 deficit after a half inning. Tennessee Tech added one more in the second to double its lead to 2-0. Tech grew its lead to 4-0 in the fourth after capitalizing on a Lindenwood error.
Lindenwood missed an opportunity in the bottom half of the inning with runners on second and third with no one out but were unable to score. The Lions failed to capitalize on another opportunity in the sixth as they had bases loaded but were unable to push a run across.
A bright spot out of the bullpen was
Michael Walsh who tossed 3.1 innings of scoreless ball. However, Lindenwood was unable to get much going offensively during the night, being held to three hits. The Lions dropped game one of the series 4-0.
