For the second-straight week, the Lindenwood men's volleyball team is ranked in the AVCA/NVA National Collegiate Men's Volleyball Poll, coming in at No. 19.
The Lions earned 46 points in the poll and are currently riding a seven-game winning streak. During the run, Lindenwood has dropped a total of four sets. The black and gold are coming off a 3-0 sweep of then No. 19 Purdue Fort Wayne in the MIVA quarterfinals last Saturday. The match was hosted inside Hyland Arena marking the first time a MIVA tournament game was played at home in program history.
The win over the Mastodons was the sixth victory over a ranked team for Lindenwood and the quads 15
th overall. It was announced last week that
Ian Schuller,
A.J. Lewis,
Connor Sheehan, and
Clay Wieter earned all-conference honors, landing on the second team. Shuller, Lewis and Wieter all had double-digit kills in the match against Purdue Fort Wayne.
Lindenwood will be looking for its first appearance in the MIVA Championship game with a win over No. 10 Ball State on Thursday in Muncie, Ind. First serve is set for 6:00 p.m. CT.
