The Lindenwood baseball team (14-34) dropped a midweek game to Saint Louis (34-11) by a score of 9-4 on Tuesday night from St. Louis, Mo.

GAME OVERVIEW
Lindenwood threatened in the first, but had its rally halted after Kam Edwards was thrown out at home. SLU took a 2-0 lead in the second after a two-run blast to left. The Billikens added three runs in the third, extending the lead to 5-0.

The Lions chipped away, scoring two runs in the fourth with a big two-out hit from James Jett that brought home Bryson Arnette and Anthony Stellato. Michael Walsh worked out of a bases loaded jam in the fourth to keep the score 5-2. SLU tacked on a run in the fifth to go up by four.

Lindenwood dew closer in the seventh after Dawson Hokuf doubled home Edwards and Evan Funkhouser, making the score 6-4. It was the third hit of the day for Hokuf. The black and gold put two on with nobody out in the eighth but were unable to push any runs across. SLU put some insurance on the board in the bottom half with its third homer of the game, moving the score to 9-4. Lindenwood couldn't draw any closer, falling by that score.
