ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Kristof Papp from the Lindenwood men's ice hockey program has accepted an invitation to the St. Louis Blues Development Camp starting on Monday, Jul 1st. This marks the second straight summer a Lindenwood player has attended this camp.

"We are very excited for Kristof to skate with other NHL top prospects and showcase his skills at the St. Louis Blues Development camp," said newly appointed head coach Bill Muckalt. "It will be an excellent opportunity to compete against other top players from around the world. We are all about developing and promoting our players to pro hockey at Lindenwood."

Papp, originally from Budapest, Hungary, is a graduate transfer from Northern Michigan University where he spent the last two seasons. As a member of the Wildcats, Papp appeared in all 34 games last season scoring six goals and assisting on 13 goals. He was tied for fourth on the team in total points with 19. Prior to his time at NMU, Papp played one season at Michigan State where he scored two goals and posted 10 assists. Papp also competed for Hungary in the 2023 IIHF World Championships, recording two assists in seven games.

"I am super excited and grateful for this opportunity," said Papp. "I cannot wait to see what it is like to part of that organization and to get to meet some personal and some of the guys. Excited for a great week of hockey."

The St. Louis Blues Development camp starts on Monday, July 1st and runs through the 3rd. The Blue and White scrimmage is sent for July 2nd at 6:00 p.m. CT and is available for the public at Centene Community Ice Center.

"I am looking to really soak in all the information they give us," said Papp. "There are a bunch of different activities that guys can go through and I am looking to add those to my existing routines. I am excited to see what level everyone is at in the organization and hopefully this can help me in my journey."
