Pazmandi Scores Lone Goal in Loss Against Wisconsin

MADISON, WIS. – On Saturday, women's ice hockey matched up against Wisconsin for the second time of the weekend. The Lions would fall to the nationally ranked Badgers 8-1.
 
GAME OVERVIEW
In the first period, scoring did not come easily, with both teams having strong defensive showings in the frame. The Badgers would notch the only goal of the period, coming while on the power-play at 6:59 into the period. After a period of play, Lindenwood would trail Wisconsin 1-0. The Badgers would outshoot the Lions 43-9 in the period. Anna LaRose would make 19 stops in the first period.

In the second period, Wisconsin would 14 seconds into the frame, while on the power-play.  Almost a minute later, the Badgers would strike again, extending their lead to three. Zsofia Pazmandi would break the Lions scoring drought at the 3:06 mark in the period while even-strength. Pazmandi's first goal as a Lion would be assisted by Morgan Neitzke and Silje Gundersen, cutting the Lions deficit to two. The Badgers would score three more goals to end the period. After two periods of play, the Badgers led 7-1. LaRose would make 11 saves in the period, before being relieved by Madison Bowtell. Bowtell in the period made four saves in four minutes. The Badgers would outshoot the Lions 34-11 in the period.

In the third period, the Lions would hold the Badgers to one goal coming 17:25 into the final period. The Badgers would outshoot the Lions 30-4 in the period. Bowtell made 13 saves in the frame.
After the match, the Lions fall to 0-4-0 on the season.
