Women’s Ice Hockey Picks Up 3-0 Loss to Robert Morris in Game Two

MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. – On Saturday, women's ice hockey (3-16-2, 2-6-1 AHA) took on Robert Morris (6-14-3, 0-7-2) for the second time this weekend. The Lions would put up a valiant effort but would fall 3-0 to the Colonials. After the game, Lindenwood would move to 3-17-2 on the season and 2-7-1 in AHA play, while the Colonials improve to 7-14-3 overall and 1-7-2 in AHA play.

GAME OVERVIEW
In period one, strong defensive play by both teams resulted in a 0-0 tie after a period of play. The Lions had five shots on net in the period, and Catherine Hodgins made six stops.

In the second period, Robert Morris broke the 0-0 tie with 11:02 left in the period. With 7:47 left in the period, Robert Morris extended their lead to two, scoring while on the power play. The period ended with the Colonials leading 2-0. In the frame, Lindenwood had seven shots on net. Hodgins made nine stops.
