ERIE, PA. – On Friday afternoon, Lindenwood women's ice hockey (3-17-2, 2-7-1 AHA) took on conference opponent, Mercyhurst (11-11-1, 6-4-0 AHA). The Lions would fall 3-1 to the Lakers. After the contest, the Lions would move to 3-18-2 on the season and 2-8-1 in conference play. The Lakers would improve to 12-11-1 on the season and 7-4-0 in conference play.
GAME OVERVIEW
In the first period, both teams would be held off the scoring column, resulting in a 0-0 tie after one period of play. Lindenwood would have eight shots on goal in the period.
Anna LaRose would make 12 stops in the frame.
2:53 into the second period, Mercyhurst broke the 0-0 tie, scoring off a rebound. The Lakers extended their lead to two at 11:53 into the period, scoring off a wrap-around shot. At the end of the period, Mercyhurst would lead 2-0 over the Lions. In the frame, Lindenwood had five shots on net. LaRose would stop ten shots in the period.

Josey Dunne and
Silje Gundersen. In the final period of play, the Lions would have eight shots on net. LaRose would stop eight shots in the period.
On the afternoon, Lindenwood would have 21 shots on net and LaRose would make 30 stops.
