Men’s Ice Hockey Ties Augustana 1-1 in Game Two

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – On Saturday night, men's ice hockey (5-17-1) took on Augustana (13-7-1) in game two of the series against the Vikings. In a low-scoring affair, the Lions would tie the Vikings 1-1. After the contest, Lindenwood moves to 5-17-2 overall, and Augustana transitions to 13-7-2.                                                     
GAME OVERVIEW
Strong defensive play would hold both teams off the scoring column in the first period, resulting in a 0-0 tie, after 20 minutes of play. The Lions would find 12 shots on goal in the period. Owen Bartoszkiewicz would make 12 stops in the frame.

In the second period, Augustana notched the first goal of the game with 13:45 left in the period. The Viking's goal would be the only tally in the period. After 40 minutes of play, Lindenwood would trail the Vikings 1-0. In the frame, Lindenwood would have six shots on net. Bartoszkiewicz would stop 12 shots in the period.
