SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – On Saturday night, men's ice hockey (5-17-1) took on Augustana (13-7-1) in game two of the series against the Vikings. In a low-scoring affair, the Lions would tie the Vikings 1-1. After the contest, Lindenwood moves to 5-17-2 overall, and Augustana transitions to 13-7-2.                                                     
GAME OVERVIEW
Strong defensive play would hold both teams off the scoring column in the first period, resulting in a 0-0 tie, after 20 minutes of play. The Lions would find 12 shots on goal in the period. Owen Bartoszkiewicz would make 12 stops in the frame.

In the second period, Augustana notched the first goal of the game with 13:45 left in the period. The Viking's goal would be the only tally in the period. After 40 minutes of play, Lindenwood would trail the Vikings 1-0. In the frame, Lindenwood would have six shots on net. Bartoszkiewicz would stop 12 shots in the period.

Early in the third period, Lindenwood would break their scoreless drought, scoring 2:42 into the frame. Ty Hipkin would be credited with the goal, assisted by Tyler Loughman and Noah Houle. For the remainder of the period, the Lions and Vikings would be held off the scoreboard, resulting in the contest going into overtime. In the period, Lindenwood had six shots on net. Bartoszkiewicz would stop six shots in the period.

In the overtime period, both teams could not find the back of the net, resulting in a 1-1 tie. In the overtime period, Lindenwood had one shot on net.

On the night, Lindenwood had 25 shots on goal. Bartoszkiewicz made 30 stops, recording a .968 save percentage.
