MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO. – On Saturday, men's ice hockey (4-14-1) took on St. Thomas (5-10-4) for the second time this weekend. The Lions would fall 4-2, after holding the lead, early in the third period. After this matchup, Lindenwood falls to 4-15-1 on the season and St. Thomas would improve to 6-10-4.

GAME OVERVIEW
Both teams would be held off the scoring column in the first period. The Lions would have eight shots on net in the frame. Owen Bartoszkiewicz would make 10 stops.

In the second period, St. Thomas would score the first goal of the game while on the power-play, at 14:59. With 39 seconds left to go in the period, David Gagnon would roof a shot past the Tommies netminder, to tie the game up at 1-1. Gagnon's goal would be assisted by Patrick Schmiedlin and John Evans. The score would remain tied at 1-1 at the end of the period. In the frame, Lindenwood had 12 shots on net. Bartoszkiewicz stopped 14 shots.

In the third period, Lindenwood would strike first, scoring at 8:20, taking their first lead of the game. Lindenwood's second goal would be scored by Patrick Schmiedlin, assisted by Jack Anderson and John Evans. This would be Schmiedlin's first goal of the season. Lindenwood's lead would be short-lived, with the Tommies scoring three unanswered to finish out the period, with the Tommies coming out on top, by a score of 4-2. Lindenwood in the period had five shots on net. Bartoszkiewicz would make 13 stops in the final frame of play.

At the end of the game, Lindenwood had 25 shots on net and Bartoszkiewicz would make 37 total saves on the afternoon.
