The Lions Women's Hockey team fell to 0-4-0 on the season with a pair of losses at home to St. Thomas by scores of 4-3 and 2-1. Both games were decided in the final five minutes of the third period where the Tommies scored in the last minute on Friday night, and scored with 4:44 left to go in Saturday's contest. Despite the results, there were several Lindenwood skaters who had big performances.
Silje Gundersen scored two goals in Friday's game, including the game-tying goal with one minute to play with an extra attacker on the ice. Gundersen's first goal of the season came on a one-timer from the right side of the ice on the power play off an assist from
Ellen Wigermo and
Josey Dunne-Weeks.
Tatiana Blichova and
Michaela Paulinyova also recorded their first collegiate points on Saturday as both Freshmen had an assist on
Zsofia Pazmandi's first goal of the season.
Lexington Secreto was another Lion that had a good performance in the matchup against St. Thomas. The Senior goaltender from New Windsor, New York stopped a career-high 39 shots and recorded her second 30+ save game of the season. Secreto now leads the Lion goaltenders in saves with 73.

About Minnesota State
The Mavericks are coming off two season-opening wins on the road at RPI. They are led in scoring by Defenseman Lauren Goldsworthy, who has three goals on the season. Goldsworthy scored two goals in their season opener on September 19 and added her third of the year in their second game on September 20. Forward Zoe Lopez also is tied for the team lead in points with three, as she scored two goals and added an assist in the wins over RPI.
Minnesota state went 14-21-2 in 2024-2025, including a 7-19-2 record in the WCHA. Last season, the Mavericks swept the Lions at Centene Community Ice Center by scores of 8-1 and 4-1.
Maegan Cronan scored the lone goal for the Lions in the second game of that series.
Minnesota State leads the all-time series with Lindenwood 27-4-2.
