On Tuesday morning, the Ohio Valley Conference released the latest Men's Soccer Player of the Week winners which featured two members of the Lindenwood Men's Soccer squad.
Leandro Haesler and
Gavin Roberts picked up their second OVC Player Of The Week awards during the 2025 season for their performances in the 4-0 win over Southern Indiana on Saturday afternoon in Evansville.
Haesler led the Lion's defense to another victory, allowing just four shots in the contest with the Screaming Eagles, and helped Lindenwood pick up it's 11th shutout in 16 games played. Not only did the 6'3 Senior from Germany get it done on the defensive side of the ball, but he also scored two goals as well to lead the Lions offensively. Haesler now has three goals on the season, all of which coming in the town of Evansville, Indiana.
Meanwhile,
Gavin Roberts replaced
Quinn Closson midway through the first half at Southern Indiana and recorded one save in the second half to get the win and improve his record on the season to 5-1-1. The 6'2 Senior from Florissant, Missouri has a GAA of .052 in eight games played and has registered a save percentage of 0.882.
