ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The Lindenwood women's volleyball team (6-7, 2-3 OVC) dropped their Tuesday night contest against SIUE (9-7, 4-1 OVC) by a score of 3-0 in Hyland Arena. The Lions struggled to find an offensive rhythm, hitting just .118 as a team.
Match Overview
Lindenwood held a slim lead early in the opening set, but after SIUE pulled ahead 10-9, the Lions were unable to keep up with the Cougars' hot hitting attack. After falling behind by five, LU put together a 4-0 run to make the score 18-17 but could not continue their momentum following an SIUE timeout, dropping the set 25-21.
The Lions struggled to find any footing in the second frame, dropping the set 25-8. Lindenwood showed resolve in set three despite never leading in the frame, putting some pressure on the Cougars late with another 4-0 run to bring the tally to 18-17, but just like in the opener, the Lions were unable to sustain their momentum and dropped the set 25-21.
Autumn Bax led the Lions with 11 kills and a career-high 11 digs on the evening.

Quotable
"It was a disappointing match. We obviously did not do anything to make SIUE uncomfortable. We struggled to generate consistent offense. All we can do is work hard to make improvements. We have the talent and ability to win matches; we are just struggling to find out who we are and how we can score points consistently." –
Will Condon.
