The Lindenwood men's volleyball team (3-7, 0-4 MIVA) fell in three sets to No. 8 Ball State (10-4, 3-1 MIVA) on Thursday night inside Hyland Arena
MATCH OVERVIEW
Ball State won the race to 10 and went up 10-6 early. The Cardinals continued to extend their lead, going up 13-7, which forced a Lindenwood timeout. Ball State took control of the set and didn't look back, winning 25-15.
The second set began as a back-and-forth one, with each team trading points.
Brendan Louthain had a monster block, which put the Lions up 10-9. Ball State got some separation before the media timeout and held a 15-12 lead. The Cardinals continued to grow their lead in the set and won it 25-17.
Once again, the two teams traded points early, with Ball State going ahead 10-8. The Cardinals continued to lead heading into the media timeout, 15-12. After the break, Lindenwood went on a mini run and went ahead 20-18 after an ace from
Carter Stenmark, which forced a Ball State timeout. The Cardinals settled down and grabbed the set 25-22, and the match 3-0.
