Baseball Falls in Series Finale With SEMO

The Lindenwood baseball team (18-21, 7-7 OVC) fell in the series finale with SEMO (23-17, 10-5 OVC) by a score of 11-1 on Saturday afternoon in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

GAME OVERVIEW
The Lions loaded the bases in the second and the Lions grabbed the lead with an RBI from Evan Funkhouser, putting Lindenwood up 1-0. SEMO answered right back with a leadoff home run in the second, tying the game, 1-1. The Redhawks took the lead with a run in the third, going up 2-1.

SEMO added two more in the fifth, going up 4-1, and broke the game open with seven runs in the eighth, to take an 11-1 lead and earn the series win.
