Santiago Juesas Benet of the Lindenwood men's golf team has been named to the All-OVC Newcomer team as announced by the conference on Saturday.

Juesas has had an outstanding freshman season, playing in every single round this season and averaging a score of 73.9, which ranks 19^th in the conference. During 2024-25, Juesas has compiled four rounds of 70 or under.

The Valencia, Spain native has had two top-15 finishes during the year, including a tie for sixth at the LaTour Intercollegiate which earned him OVC Golfer of the Week honors. He also finished tied for 11^th at the Lindenwood Invitational.

Juesas and the rest of the Lions will be in action tomorrow as the OVC Championships begin at Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
