The Lindenwood baseball team (26-25, 13-9 OVC) dropped the second game of its series with Tennessee Tech (33-18, 15-8 OVC) by a score of 9-1 on Saturday from Cookeville, Tenn.
GAME OVERVIEW
Tennessee Tech scored a pair of runs in the first to go up 2-0. The Lions threatened in the fourth and the fifth but were unable to score and still trailed by two. In the bottom half of the fifth, the Golden Eagles added three more runs to take a 5-0 lead.
Lindenwood finally broke through in the seventh as
Evan Funkhouser singled and
Tanner Simpson brought him home with an RBI double, cutting the deficit to 5-1. Tech got the run back in the bottom half of the inning.
The Golden Eagles plated three more in the eighth and the Lions couldn't get any closer falling 9-1.
