The Lindenwood baseball team (27-27, 14-11 OVC) dropped game two against Southern Indiana (26-28, 14-12 OVC) by a score of 7-6 on Friday night from Lou Brock Sports Complex
GAME OVERVIEW
Southern Indiana scored the games first run with a two-out hit in the second, going up 1-0, and doubled its lead with another in the third. Lindenwood responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third using a trio of doubles.
Mitch Cummins brought home
Bryson Arnette and later in the inning
Charlie Isom-McCall plated Cummins, tying the game at two.
The Screaming Eagles answered with four runs in the fourth to go up 6-2. That remained the score until Southern Indiana pushed a run across in the seventh, growing the lead to 7-2. After a leadoff walk by
Filip Sarota in the bottom of the inning,
Brodie Short brought him home with a double. Later in the inning Cummins drove in his second run of the night with a Sac fly and one batter later,
Kam Edwards delivered with an RBI single, making the score 7-5.
Lindenwood threatened in the eighth but were unable to score. The Black and Gold couldn't get any closer and fell 7-5 in game two.
