Lindenwood Women's Hockey fell in both of their matchups to start the 2025-26 season last weekend in St. Cloud, Minnesota. The Lions were outscored 10-0 in two games, but recorded a total of 34 blocked shots on defense. In the season opener on Friday, the team recorded 18 total shots with Zsofia Pazmandi leading the way with three. Lindenwood generated four power play opportunities in the contest, but came away empty handed as they had three shots on the power play. St. Cloud State scored three times in the third period to take the 5-0 victory. Madison Bowtell got the start in net and recorded a career-high 38 saves on 43 shots faced.
 
On Saturday, the Huskies jumped out to a 4-0 lead after the first period and took the second game by a score of 5-0 after adding a goal in the third period. Lexington Secreto finished the game with a career-high 34 saves and allowed two goals in 53 minutes of action.  Silje Gundersen led the team in shots with five, while Tatiana Blichova and Pazmandi each had three shots of their own.
 
About St. Thomas
St. Thomas enters with a 2-0-0 record in 2025-26 after sweeping Post University on the road last weekend by scores of 7-0 and 6-1. The Tommies recorded 38 points in those two matchups as Forwards Rylee Bartz and Chloe Boreen each scored three goals to lead the team. St. Thomas finished last season with a record of 9-25-2 and split with the Lions as the Tommies won the first game 7-2 and Lindenwood taking the second game by a score of 6-1. Maegan Cronan, Josey Dunne, and Silje Gundersen scored in the Lions victory over St. Thomas.
