The Lindenwood football team (2-3, 1-0 OVC-Big South) dropped its game with FBS Miami (OH) on Saturday by a score of 38-0 from Oxford, Ohio
GAME OVERVIEW
The Lindenwood defense stood strong early as
Nolan O'Hara stuffed the Redhawks on a 4
th and 1 inside the redzone to keep the game scoreless with 9:42 to go in the opening frame. Miami would block a punt and return it for a touchdown just a few minutes later to grab a 7-0 lead. Lindenwood's defense held the Redhawks to 79 yards in the first quarter and trailed by a score after one.
Miami opened the second quarter with the ball and once again, the defense stood tall in the redzone, holding the Redhawks to a field goal, which put them up 10-0. Miami would go on to score once more before the end of the half and hold a 17-0 lead at the break.
The Redhawks went on a 10-play 80-yard drive midway through the third quarter to extend the lead and would find the end zone again just before the end of the frame to go up 31-0. Miami would go on to win 38-0.
