CAMBRIDGE, MA.- Lindenwood Women's Rugby fell at Harvard on Saturday morning by a final score of 26-17. Three different Lions would score their first tries of the season and Gianna Diaz would go one for three on conversions. 

In the first half, Harvard had possession for the first six minutes of the match and would strike first in the sixth minute to make it 5-0 on a try. On the ensuing kickoff, the Crimson would drop the ball and the Lions would recover to get their first possession of the half. Lindenwood responded on their first possession of the half as Gabby Bryant would score from two yards out in the 10^th minute to tie the match at five. Diaz would convert on the conversion to give the Lions the lead at 7-5. Harvard would add two more tries and two conversions in the first half at the 21^st and 33^rd minute to take the 19-7 lead into halftime. The Lions defense stood tall in the first half, getting two stops inside their own 22 yard line to limit the Crimson to 19 points at the break.   

In the second half, Lindenwood would get to within seven points on a successful try at the 45th minute as Millie Gibson would score to cut the Harvard lead to 19-12. Harvard would strike next at the 59th minute on a try to extend their lead to 26-12.

The Lions wouldn't go down without a fight as He'Lena Dou'Ble would score a try at the 73rd minute to make it 26-17. The first half deficit would be too much to overcome as the Crimson would hang on to win the match. Despite the loss, the Lions outscored Harvard in the second half 10-7 as the defense would once again only allow one try in the second half like they did last week against Army. 

Lindenwood will now return to Hunter Stadium next Saturday as they will host Navy. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.
