Last Time Out
Lindenwood fell on Thursday night at Tennessee State by a score of 89-80. Anias Futrell scored a game-high 27 points and knocked down five first half three pointers while Dontrez Williams poured in a career-high 24 points on 9-16 shooting from the floor, but the Lions were unable to overcome 19 turnovers that led to 31 points for Tennessee State despite shooting 48.3% from the floor. The Tigers used a late 13-4 run over the final five minutes of the game to hand the Lions their third road loss during conference play. 

Scouting The Golden Eagles
Tennessee Tech has won their last two games and have picked up some momentum late in the season. The Golden Eagles are 5-2 over their last seven games and jumped Eastern Illinois for eighth place in the OVC standings with a 62-52 win at home over SIUE last night. Junior Forward JaJuan Nichols scored a game-high 20 points to lead TTU to a win over the Cougars while Junior Guard Ty Owens scored 12 points on 5-11 shooting from the floor. The Golden Eagles are led offensively by Redshirt Senior Guard Mekhi Cameron who averages 11.4 points per game and is shooting 40.7% from the floor on the season. Junior Forward Dani Pounds leads Tennessee Tech from beyond the arc shooting 37.5% on the season and is right behind Cameron averaging 10.3 points per contest. 

The Lions took down Tennessee Tech in the first matchup of the season back on January 22 by a final score of 89-68. Anias Futrell led the Lions with a double-double against the Golden Eagles as the Senior scored 25 points and pulled down a a game-high 10 rebounds. Milos Nenadic, Dontrez Williams, and Jadis Jones all scored in double figures in that game as well to lead a balanced offensive attack to help the Lions pick up their sixth OVC win of the season.
