The Lindenwood lacrosse team (0-4) fell 23-9 to Arizona State (1-2) on Saturday afternoon from Tempe, Ariz.

Lindenwood jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a man-up goal by
Luci Selander off a feed from
Charlize Vang. The Sun Devils responded with two quick goals to take a 2-1 advantage. Both teams traded goals once again with the Lindenwood score coming from
Reese Krieger at the 4:44 mark of the quarter. Arizona State doubled its lead, netting one with just over a minute to play in the first.
Alissa DiGiacinto cut the deficit to one, finding the back of the net with three seconds left as the Lions trailed 4-3 after one.
Arizona State scored the first four goals of the second quarter to take an 8-3 lead. Krieger put an end to the run, netting a pair in quick succession, closing the gap to 8-5. The Sun Devils ended the quarter on a 4-1 run to take a 12-6 lead into halftime. Krieger finished with three goals in the middle frame.
The Sun Devils scored the first two goals of the third to go up 14-6, before Vang netted her second of the day, cutting the deficit in half at 14-7. Vang found the net again a few minutes later off a pass from
Isabella Jahkhah. The Lions trailed 19-8 after three.
Maddie MacLeod scored Lindenwood's lone goal in the fourth as the Black and Gold fell 23-9 on Saturday afternoon in Tempe, Ariz.
