Fort Valley, Ga. - The Lindenwood Men's Volleyball team took down Fort Valley State for the second straight day in four sets to improve to 12-2 overall on the 2026 season. Luke Kraft led the Lions with a match-high 14 kills, while Brendan Louthain had 12.

The Lions took set one by a score of 25-21 by using a 7-1 run in the middle of the set to take a 17-13 lead late. Louthain recorded two kills during the run, while Owen Walsh added two service aces to highlight the run. Amir Grant and Caden Whiteside also added one kill each after the Wildcats had cut the deficit to five two different times, but Lindenwood held on for the opening set victory hitting .280 as a team. In set two, the Lions again used a big run in the middle of the set behind another kill from Grant and a service ace from Kraft to take a 17-14 lead. The rest of the set would be back-and-forth as the two teams traded points with LU clinging to a 22-21 set lead. Walsh pushed the lead to 23-21 with a kill and ended the set with a service ace to help the Lions build a two set lead.

In the third set, Fort Valley State closed the set on a 6-2 run and forced a set four. The Lions had a 21-19 lead after Amir Grant recorded a service ace and picking up a solo block a few points before to tie the set at 19, but the Wildcats went to Outside Hitter Isaiah Fedd, who had the last four kills of the third set as FVSU went on to win the set by a score of 25-23. The Wildcats carried their momentum over from set three and started the fourth set with a 7-4 lead, but Brendan Louthain stopped the bleeding by picking up a kill and a service ace to highlight a 4-0 run to put the Lions ahead 8-7. Louthain sparked another run later in the set that put Lindenwood ahead 15-13, and the Lions would eventually pull away after Owen Walsh, Amir Grant, and Louthain each had a kill to put the Lions up 21-17. Caden Whiteside ended the match with a service ace to close out a 3-0 run by the Lions, who won the fourth and final set 25-21 and improved to 4-2 on the road during the 2026 season.
