Secreto, Muscedere, and Henderson All Named AHA Players Of The Week

On Tuesday afternoon, the Atlantic Hockey America Conference released their latest Player Of the Weeks with three of the four awards going to a Lindenwood Lion. Molly Henderson, Lexington Secreto, and Ellie Muscedere were all honored as the AHA Forward, Goaltender, and Defenseman of the Week for their respective performances in the series sweep over the RIT Tigers. The Lions have now had six different players receive an AHA weekly honor during the 2025-26 season.

Molly Henderson has continued to be on a tear as the Senior skater from Rockford, Ill picked up another six points (2 G, 4 A) over the weekend. In Friday's 6-2 win, Henderson started off her week by intercepting a Tiger pass in RIT's defensive zone and scoring an unassisted goal to tie up the game at one at the 12:29 mark of the opening period. She assisted on the Lions third and sixth goals of the game to pick up three more points to her season total and her seventh total point over her last two games played. However, Henderson would not be done there as she added three more points in Saturday's 5-1 win over RIT. Molly assisted on the first goal of the game for the Lions and picked up two more points in the third period with a goal and an assist to finish the weekend with six total points and 10 points over her last three games played. This marks her second AHA Forward of the Week award this season with both of them coming in the last three weeks.

Ellie Muscedere also added six points over the weekend by scoring one goal and recording five assists. Muscedere started off her series with an assist in the second period on Lindenwood's third goal of the game and scored an unassisted goal to finish the game with two points  The Sophomore defenseman from Harrow, Ontario followed her two point performance on Friday with a career-high four point performance in the Lions 5-1 victory over the Tigers on Saturday. Muscedere assisted on four of the five goals scored and set a career-high for assists in a single game. Her six points recorded over the weekend against RIT led all AHA blue liners and led to her first AHA honor of the season.

In goal, Lexington Secreto posted back-to-back wins in a conference series for just the second time this season. The Senior from New Windsor, N.Y. made 55 saves and recorded a 1.50 GAA across both games going 2-0-0 on the weekend. She made 32 saves on Saturday in the Lions 5-1 win over RIT and made 22 consecutive saves after allowing a first period goal to help Lindenwood complete the sweep over RIT. Secreto has made 20 or more saves in 15 of her 22 appearances this season and leads the Lions in total saves (635), GAA (2.51), save percentage (.926), and wins (8).

Lindenwood will return to the ice for their final regular season home series this weekend when they will welcome in #4 Penn State. Puck drop on Friday is set for 4 p.m. CT.
