On Wednesday afternoon, the Atlantic Hockey America Conference announced that
Molly Henderson has been named the AHA Forward of the Month for January. The Senior skater recorded 14 points (7 G, 7 A) across eight games played and added her first career hat trick on January 16 against Delaware to help her take home the honor.
10 of her 14 points for the month has come over the last three games against Syracuse and RIT. Henderson picked up four points in the series finale with the Orange back on January 24 as she scored two goals and added two assists in the third period to help the Lions pick up a series split on the road. She followed her four point performance at Syracuse with a six point weekend last week against the RIT Tigers en route to Lindenwood's second straight home sweep of the season. The native of Rockford, Ill picked up three points in each game against the Tigers scoring one goal and recording two assists in each game which led to her being named the AHA Forward of the Week yesterday afternoon. Henderson also won the AHA Forward of the Week for the second time in the month of January back on Jan 20 after she had four points in a weekend series with Delaware on the 16 and 17.
Molly leads the 2025-26 squad in both goals scored (14) and shot percentage (.269) and is tied for first on the team in points with 25. The Lions will be back in action this weekend at Centene Community Ice Center when they will welcome in #4 Penn State. Puck drop on Friday is set for 4 p.m. CT.
