Jamie Daniels of the Lindenwood women's golf team has been named Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week for the second time this season as announced on Thursday.
Daniels finished tied for second at the Jan Weaver Invitational last weekend, finishing with a score of 214, which set the new Lindenwood 54-hole scoring low in the Division I era. The Shorewood, Ill. native fired rounds of 70, 73, and 71 at Miller Memorial Golf Course.
The junior tied for first in the field with an average score of 3.93 on Par 4s, going two-under on such holes. She also had 11 birdies during the tournament which tied for third most among all players. Daniels was one of four players with an eagle, doing so on the third hole during the third round.
Overall, the Lions finished with a team score of 897, setting the Division I 54-hole scoring record.
Daniels and the rest of the Lions head to Dalton, Ga. for the OVC Championships April 19-21 at Dalton Golf & Country Club
