Molly Henderson & Josey Dunne-Weeks Declare For PWHL Draft

Molly Henderson and Josey Dunne-Weeks from the Lindenwood Women's Hockey team have declared for the Professional Women's Hockey League Draft which takes place next month. The draft is scheduled for Wednesday, June 17 at 4 p.m. CT at the Fox Theatre in Detroit, Michigan with the Vancouver Goldeneyes holding the first overall pick. 

Henderson is coming off her best season as a Lindenwood Lion during her Senior campaign. The Rockford, Ill native tied for the team-lead in points (31) and goals scored (16), while leading LU in game-winning goals (4), and shot percentage (.250). She scored her first career hat trick back on January 16, 2026 against Delaware and became the first Lion to do so since Morgan Neitzke during the 2023-24 season. Henderson was also a two-time AHA Player of the Week and was tabbed the AHA Forward of the Month for her performances during the month of January. The Senior skater recorded 14 points (7 G, 7 A) across eight games played in January, with 10 of her 14 points spanning over three games against Syracuse and RIT. Henderson picked up four points in the series finale with the Orange back on January 24 as she scored two goals and added two assists in the third period to help the Lions pick up a series split on the road. She followed her four point performance at Syracuse with a six point weekend against the RIT Tigers en route to Lindenwood's second straight home sweep of the season. She ended the season with 10 multi-point games which was a team-high.

Meanwhile, Josey Dunne-Weeks also had her best season of her career in 2025-26 by registering 18 points (4 G, 14 A) and blocking a team-high 78 shots. The Graduate Student from O'Fallon, Mo had three multi-point games throughout the season, recording back-to-back games with two assists in a sweep over Robert Morris on the road in the final regular season series of the season. Her four goals scored was a career-high and she finished her Lindenwood career with seven goals and 20 assists. Dunne-Weeks was named the AHA Defenseman of the Week on February 17 for her four assist performance in the series against RMU as well and helped lead the Lions as a Captain to their most wins in a single season in program history (14).

Henderson and Dunne-Weeks will be among 236 players in the PWHL draft which features 128 forwards, 68 defenders, and 40 goaltenders. The draft will consist of seven rounds and tickets for the 2026 PWHL Draft presented by Upper Deck are available to the public here.
