Will Geary has been named a Second Team Freshman All-American by Perfect Game, adding another accolade to an impressive rookie campaign.
Geary, who spent most of the season at second base before making the switch to shortstop, played in every game for the Lions during the season – starting in all but one. He led the club in batting average (.316), hits (71), and on-base percentage (.409). He also set a new Lindenwood NCAA era single season record with 27 stolen bases.
Geary recorded 12 doubles, five triples, and three home runs while registering 26 RBIs. He also led the team with 22 multi-hit games, including six three-hit performances.
Geary was named Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Year after batting .336 with eight doubles and 10 RBIs in conference play. Â
Geary helped Lindenwood to their second consecutive 30-win season. The Lions posted 13 wins in conference play, including five series wins, before winning their opening game of the OVC Tournament.
